AP Setup: A White Glove Concierge Service

Gearbox Setup

Before we begin,

1. We recommend starting with a demo account to learn how GearBox works. Once you are ready to start trading on a live account, all you will need to do is log into your live trading account. (It is possible you will need to open new charts if your broker uses suffixes for the financial instruments)

2. You will need a broker account, demo or live, with the login account number and password.

3. An active subscription with AP for GearBox.
4. Access to your VPS

Step 1

Log into your broker account by selecting File -> Open an Account in your trading app.

Step 2

Search for your broker's name, click on it so it is highlighted, click next, and log in to your broker account.

 

Step 3

Once logged in, go to Tools -> Options.

 

Step 4

Ensure your Expert Advisors tab looks like the example below, and add https://auvoriaprime.com to the URL list.

 

Step 5

You can open a currency chart by right-clicking on a currency pair in the Market Watch window and choosing the Chart Window from the menu.

 

(If you do not see the Market Watch window, you can open it by going to the top menu, clicking on View, and selecting Market Watch from the dropdown menu.)

 

Step 6

The default recommendation for Gearbox is to open four currency charts. Open the Gold chart for the GearBox Manager and then the charts for EURUSD, USDCAD, and AUDUSD.

GearBox will work on other currency pairs as well but these are the three best-performing pairs. It is recommended that you start with these, watch and learn about GearBox, and then add more currency pairs if you want.

Make sure you can see the Gold Chart on your MT screen. The easiest way to see all of the currency charts simultaneously is to click the tile icon in the top menu of MetaTrader.

 

Now, drag the GearBoxPro item from the Expert Advisors section of the Navigator window to the EURUSD chart. You will be asked to Authenticate your account.

 

Step 7

You will need to authenticate your account. To complete this step, you must be logged into the Auvoria Prime account associated with the Gearbox license being activated. Using your computer or device's browser, not the VPS, go to https://auvoriaprime.com:8443/device

 

Step 8

Enter the code, including the hyphen, from the previous step and click Submit.

 

Step 9

You should see a confirmation message, and the button on the Gearbox chart should now say Logout.

Now, drag the Gearbox Manager Pro item from the Expert Advisors section of the Navigator window to the Gold Chart.

Click the Swing Strategy button on the GearBox Manager. This will apply the Swing Strategy settings to all the other opened charts (EURUSD, USDCAD, AUDUSD). This is the default recommendation. There are five options, but it is recommended that you start with Swing and learn from there.

 

(To customize the settings, click the smiley face icon at the top right corner of each chart.)

On each of the currency charts, click on the smiley face in the top-right corner. This will open a window, and you will need to check the Allow live Trading box, Allow DLL imports, and Allow import of external.

 

The screen should look something like this.

 

Step 10

Set your Starting Lot Size in the settings of each chart. Click on the smiley face and find the Starting Lot Size field. The default is .01. This means that for every $1000 in the account balance, the lot size will be .01 so the Starting Lot Size for an account balance of $10,000 will be 0.10.

 

Congratulations!
GearBox is ready to start trading using the default settings with the lot size that you have specified.
If you plan to not use the default settings, we encourage you to become familiar with the settings to mitigate risk. Changing settings can increase risk.
